The Art of Flavor turns restaurant dining into a ticketed culinary
experience. Art of Flavor gives chefs the opportunity to
artistically express themselves to culinary thrill seekers and food
adventurers. Chefs are creatively challenged to design their own
unprecedented dining experience into a one-of-a-kind event. Culinary
artwork becomes not only about stunning plate presentations, but
also about innovative flavor profiles and progressive cooking
techniques. The Art of Flavor creates an intimate opportunity to get
to know chefs as they lead a culinary journey, course by course,
narrating and educating guests on each plate's origins,
inspirations, philosophies, ingredients and techniques. Art of
Flavor guests will be encouraged to photograph this culinary art

The Art of Flavor will also feature sommeliers, cicerones,
mixologists, vintners, brewmasters and distillers, showcasing their
artistry in pairing fine wines, craft beers, craft cocktails and
artisanal spirits that tantalize the palette while accentuating the
flavor of a chef’s dish. The Art of Flavor provides a new platform
for wine, beer and spirits experts to narrate their art and craft as
well as educate drink enthusiasts on what makes their creations and
pairings so compelling and conversation-provoking.
The Art of Flavor has received tremendous enthusiasm from the
restaurant industry and is proud to announce its first upcoming Art
of Flavor inspired events with San Francisco hotspots La Mar
Cebicheria Peruana, Dirty Water, and Charlie Palmer's Burritt Room +
Tavern, with many more reputable restaurants in the making.
However, to kick off our inaugural Art of Flavor event, we could not
be more excited to feature one of Silicon Valley's top rated
restaurants: Hult's Los Gatos and the culinary artwork of Chef
Alexander Hult. We also felt it meaningful and symbolic to
launch our Art of Flavor brand the same evening as the legendary
James Beard Awards in New York City honoring culinary excellence.

Borlänge, Sweden, Alexander Hult was raised in a household of cooks
and restaurateurs. In between professional hockey seasons, he worked
various jobs throughout his mother’s six restaurants where he
learned the art of flavor. Taking his kitchen skills, a passion for
the culinary arts, along with a business vision, he and his wife
Sara opened Hult’s Restaurant in Los Gatos.
Hult’s Restaurant serves as a creative outlet for this culinary
artist to incorporate his Swedish heritage with modern gastronomic
skills. As an adventurous foodie, Hult's passion is to create new
and innovative "farm-to-table" dishes showcasing the freshest
ingredients and flavors of each respective season.
